Non-absorbable PTFE sutures
PTFE surgical suture is composed of suture wire and suture needle. Sutures are chemically synthesized, single-strand, non-absorbable threads made of polytetrafluoroethylene, white in color and unblemished. The suture needle is made of 304 or 420 stainless steel. There are round needles, curved cutting needles, reverse cutting needles, tapered cutting needles and microfine spatula curved needles. Single-strand non-absorbable surgical sutures may be supplied with or without a suture needle.

Non-absorbable PTFE sutures
Polypropylene suture is a sterile, non-absorbable, monofilament, synthetic surgical suture composed of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin, and polyethylene. Non-absorbable polypropylene sutures are available in USP sizes: USP10/0 through USP 1 and are tinted blue to improve visibility in tissue.
Features
Indications
Non-absorbable polypropylene suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue closure and/or ligation, including cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmic surgery, microsurgery, plastic surgery and gastrointestinal surgery.
Sterilization: Ethylene oxide
Non-absorbable silk sutures
Silk suture is a sterile, non-absorbable, braided surgical suture composed of a natural organic protein called fibroin. This protein is derived from the silkworm of the species Bompyx mori, of the Bombycidae family. The yarns are treated to remove naturally included sericin gum and waxes, then they are spun, braided and coated with silicone to provide a smooth surface and increased tensile strength. Haidike Medical's silk sutures are available in sizes from USP8/0 to USP4.
Benefits:
Indications for non-absorbable silk sutures:
Non-absorbable silk sutures are indicated for use in general surgery. They are suitable for use in soft tissue and ligation, particularly in ophthalmic, cardiovascular and neurological surgery. As the tensile strength of Dtek silk sutures decreases significantly over time, they should not be used when significant suture support is required.
Sterilization: Ethylene oxide"
Non-absorbable polyester sutures
Polyester suture is a sterile, non-absorbable, braided, synthetic surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate (polyester). Polyester sutures are dyed green/blue and coated with silicone, giving the suture remarkable softness, flexibility and non-thrombogenic properties.
Non-absorbable polyester sutures are available in sizes from USP6/0 to USP4."
Features
Indication
Polyester is indicated for use in general surgery. It is suitable for use in soft tissue and ligation, including cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, ophthalmic surgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gastrointestinal surgery.
Sterilization: Ethylene oxide
Non-absorbable polyester sutures
Nylon suture is a monofilament surgical thread synthesized from polyamide 6 and/or polyamide 6.6, making it a non-absorbable suture. The color of nylon suture is blue or black. Sterilization is carried out by ethylene oxide gas. Size ranges from USP12/0 to USP4. Nylon suture meets all USP requirements for non-absorbable surgical sutures.
Nylon suture has high strength, good compatibility and low tissue reaction. Due to its monofilament nature, it is less likely to be colonized by bacteria, reducing the risk of infection. No capillarity occurs at the same time.
The non-absorbable nylon suture we sell is made from imported high-quality stainless steel. The non-destructive suture needle, produced by drilling technology, realizes the integration of needle and thread, which allows the needle and thread to penetrate smoothly with minimal damage. It is suitable for ophthalmic surgery, orthopedic surgery, skin suturing, etc.
How to connect the needle and thread of the non-absorbable nylon suture:
Embed the nylon thread into the drill hole at the tail of the needle body, then secure the connection. The position of the needle and thread connection is smooth. This makes the nylon surgical suture very smooth to use, reducing the chance of strain on the tissue.
Features :
Indications :
Nylon sutures are indicated for use in general surgery. They are suitable for soft tissue and ligation, including ophthalmic procedures, neurological tissue (peripheral nerves), as well as cardiovascular, plastic and reconstructive surgery. Nylon sutures should not be used when extensive and permanent retention of tensile strength is necessary, such as in cardiac surgery (e.g., artificial heart valves) and neurosurgery (central nervous system).
Sterilization: Ethylene oxide.
